Our first concert in Symphony Space featured the work of 3 contemporary composers:
The US Premiere of “Concertino for Trumpet and Strings” by Danish composer Jesper Nordin, a composition commissioned by the Scandia Symphony. The concert also presented Danish Trumpet virtuoso, Nikolaj Viltoft as soloist.
“Suite of Scandinavian Folk Melodies” by our resident composer Frank Foerster, also performing the viola solo part in his own composition.
Another US Premiere of “Arctic Snows” by American composer Andrew Ackers.
