Educational Music Programs
Experience the music and literature of Scandinavia
Join us for a spirited and entertaining music program in Inwood Hill Park (near Emerson Playground) on Saturday June 16th at 2:00-3:30 PM. Children of all ages and the young at heart will enjoy both narration and musical illustration of fairy tales by Hans Christian Andersen. Children will be interacting with our musicians and fairy tale characters, learning about musical instruments and participating in singing, dancing or other physical activity associated with the topic and featured story. Our Scandia Ensemble will accompany the narration, performing music by Frank Foerster and Poul Schierbeck. Admission is free.
